Case Study: Making Cybersecurity Services Clear to Buyers

XBUC TECH is an IT and cybersecurity company in Austin, Texas, offering managed IT, cybersecurity, cloud and infrastructure solutions under the tagline "Secure. Manage. Innovate."

I designed and built their website to turn a technical service list into something a business owner can understand in a minute and act on.

The Challenge

  • Technical services, non-technical buyers: Terms like Network Packet Brokers, NIST RMF and TLS needed plain-language framing without losing credibility.
  • Six distinct services: Each had to be findable and explained without overwhelming the home page.
  • Lead generation: The goal was consultations, not just visits.

What I Built

  • Six service areas: Vulnerability management, data encryption and SSL/TLS, cybersecurity awareness training, network infrastructure and visibility, software testing and QA, and compliance (HIPAA, PCI DSS, NIST, FISMA/NIST RMF, ISO 27001).
  • Clear structure: Home, About, Services, FAQ and Contact, with detail pages for cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, software testing and compliance.
  • A simple process story: "Assess, Protect, Manage, Optimize" shows how engagements work.
  • Conversion-focused calls to action: "Book a call", "Get a free consultation" and "Talk to an IT consultant" throughout the page.
  • A dark, high-contrast visual identity: A near-black interface with electric blue and green accents echoes the X-BUC logo and signals security and technical depth, while large headlines like "Technology built for secure future" keep the message instantly readable.
  • Service cards with real detail: The Services page presents numbered cards (Cybersecurity, Managed IT, Cloud & Infrastructure and more) with capability tags such as Vulnerability Management and System Administration. Each service opens its own page with a headline, a short pitch and a dedicated call to action like "Get IT support".
  • A contact page built to qualify leads: A "Schedule a strategy call" form collects name, email, company, job title, phone and inquiry type, next to the office address, phone, email and an embedded map. Submissions go through my own ProForms product for a fast response.
  • Responsive on every screen: On mobile the navigation collapses into a menu and the hero stacks into a single column with the consultation and services buttons stacked for easy thumb access.

Outcome

XBUC TECH now has a clean, credible website that explains a complex service catalogue clearly and gives prospects an easy way to book a consultation.
